woohoo! finally! 1st mini art fair of uniqe handmade goods in Celje (my hometown) - cART.
i've visited it in the morning hours, when the fair got up and running. i've made some quick snapshots, because i had to go to work for 3 hours :).
'tho it was small, i was really happy that this sort of events are finally happening! cudos to all the designers, for their great idea, aniciative and for all who supported them, for this event to happen. i have to admit, i didn't even know that all of this designers are Celje based! another great suprise!
ceramics, framed paintings on old book pages, colourful deatiled jewelys, funky clothes, soft toys... anything you can imagine!

hopefully, on many more to come! it's a start, and a very good one!

and next time ( which has to happend soon!), i hope, i won't be in such a rush. good things take time, as they say ;)

i have to show you my cousins dog. his name is Julius. he's Galgo and he's quite a sweetheart. he was adopted by him from a slovenian sighthound organization that takes all unwanted sighthounds from Spain, England...and find them new loving owners. i've met him only once (unfortunatley he was not there other times) and he stole my heart right away.

this is what i gave my best friend. as i said, it really was like a second Christmas.

i have a plan to make some S sized clutches and she will be the first one to get one.

i'm -clearly- a summer child! yesterday, that time of year came again & i felt like a second Christmas.

i need to mention i really do have  the bestest friend, even!

she & her boyfriend came for a 14 days holidays to Slovenia and Croatia and we had some time to spend together. she suprised me with an early b-day present...well presents! i was speachless! tho im the sencond half of m 20's i still appreciate all those little nick-nack, colourful little delights & cute packages.

2 new mini collections!

Both collections (GEO entirely, ...to Frida bits) are made out of special paper light porcelain white clay.  i love them both.

After i've made the open/closed sign for Babushka Boutique, Neva asked me if i wanted to help by making a new window display for the shop. i said yes in a hreatbeat! what a great creative oportunity!

I've bounced around different ideas and we decited for the rain drops display. Those of you who know what i do, may recognize the similarity with my cloud broaches (which are kind of becoming my signature piece and best sellers aswell!).

i've bought the fabric and made the raindrops. i've filled them with normal pillow filler which you can buy in any home depo store. i've used very thin monofillament line, so that the raindrops appear as floating in the air.

 I've asked Neva to by some fake grass (you can get this one already cut to a doormat size in any OBI store) and we just cut it to fit the square. She had bought some fake flowers, grass in a pot, watering cans and flower cans in IKEA, so we incorporated those aswell.

The green really brightened up the window and the raindrops really caught attention of people walking by.

For the first presentation of the lovely things Babushka has to offer i choose the colour pink and its light variatons. it really is better if all the items in the window have the similar colour palette. next  time its everything blue, then yellow, red, violet... Neva can change the window items every day! so every product in the shop has a chance of being seen (except for the clothes, but just for now!)

  

we were very happy with the finnished look and the feedback was awsome! it turly served its purpose - grabbing attetion !

woohoo! my collar was featured in May issue of Slovenian Cosmopolitan! it was a really nice surprise and it made me very very happy! again, thank you to whoever was "responsible"!

Babushka Boutique

Since this lovely boutique opened and my "jewlys" (collars, headbands, rings...) were settleing comfortable on it's lovely shelfs, i haven't had my thrusty (and heavy) camera with me. 'till this past thursday!

You can easily spend hours in here! so many lovely stuff from home decor, dresses, jewelry, toys, printed cards, .... i have a feeling i'll even see some home-made cupcakes! that would not be bad at all!

new

i've been busy yet again.

i've made new broaches + brcelets.

I was working on saturday. It was a lovely sunny spring morning, perfect to visit the market, having a stroll by the river and to see what antiques are there to buy. I bought myself (well, my mum did- as a gift) a vintage brass italian make-up mirror. i love it! i've wanted one of these for so long, but all i saw were plastic, round ones in the shops. never thought i should look for one in the antique market :)

Saturday was also a great day for a very interesting event called J a n e's W a l k. My workplace (Vila Malina) was one of the 6 points they visited. Maja was also in attendance and she did a proper photo review of the event on her blog. 

All in all, a very good day!
